Of all the landmarks in Wilton, CT, the Congregational Church is the standout, hands down. And I've always wanted to draw it. This pen and ink creation is over 40 years in the making. Built in 1790, the church is the oldest meeting house in Fairfield County that still operates as a church. Even if you didn't go to church there, you saw it every day on the way to high school, the Wilton Center, the Playshop, or Merwin Meadows. You also may know someone who was married there or has a special memory of the church. I know I do! My sister was married there, and my Boy Scout Troop 17 met there every Tuesday night. I also worked for the Parks and Rec department and took Lovers Lane to work at 6 AM every summer morning in the late 80s. If you don't have a place in your home for this hand-drawn, signed print, you may know someone who would love this for a gift. Thank you for stopping by!
